About Stint9

What we do

Stint9 is a motorsport data engineering company from the Netherlands. We develop software and hardware that turn race data and car data into decisions for race teams.

What we do

We work in software, data and hardware.

Stint9 works across the whole chain, from the data in the car to the decision on the pit wall and in the workshop.

Software

Race Planner, Live Timing, Post-race Analytics, the Competitor Database and Fleet Management: the tools teams use before, during and after a race and between races.

Data

We work with official timing, the sector-time files of the organiser, logger data from AiM and VBOX, and GPS data from the car.

Hardware

The first Stint9 hardware is a GPS module that logs every outing of a car for Fleet Management.

How we build

We build Stint9 by four rules.

A race engineer only trusts a number they can check, so every rule below comes with the evidence.

We check our numbers against the official data.

Stint9 measures every pit stop between the official pit-in and pit-out lines. In NLS 6 the result matched the organiser's own stand times within half a second for 88 of 99 cars.

We use every tool on our own cars first.

Stint9 is a sister brand of VDS Motorsport. The planner, the live timing, the analysis and the fleet management run on the VDS cars every race weekend before another team sees them.

Your logger files stay on your computer.

AiM and VBOX files are analysed in your browser, and only the result is saved. The files of a full 24-hour race fit.

AiM .xrk / .xrz · VBOX .vbo

Your data stays with your team.

Every request is filtered on your team, and for race data the database enforces the same rule a second time. We test both on every release.
